Arruabarrena has compiled a stunning 23-5 win-loss record during her career at the Claro Open Colsanitas. The No.11 seed won the title in 2012, was runner-up in the last two years, and has reached the quarterfinals or better in all seven of her appearances at the event.

Qualifier Haddad Maia is also seeking her second WTA singles final. The Brazilian was runner-up to Jelena Ostapenko at Seoul in 2017.

Sharma is also into her first-ever WTA women’s doubles final, partnering her compatriot Zoe Hives, who has also reached her first final. They will battle two other first-time WTA finalists, Americans Hayley Carter and Ena Shibahara, for the trophy. Sharma did reach the mixed doubles final at the Australian Open earlier this year.
